Kristie Griffin
President/Girls 6th Grade Coach


Kristie (Barnes) Griffin is a native of San Jose and has been playing basketball since the age of 4.   At Pioneer High School she was a standout guard earning 1st team and league MVP honors.   She played Junior College ball at DeAnza College under Mike Gervasoni earning All-State honors prior to receiving a full-scholarship to attend Cal Poly, San Luis Obispo.  At Cal Poly Kristie was known for her tenacious defense earning top 10 Big West rankings in steals and 3-point shooting.  While playing at Cal Poly she was also the Director of the San Luis Obispo Rage club basketball program which she grew from 2 teams to 9 within her first year.   During the past 13 years Kristie has coached kids from Kindergarten through High School as well as provided individual personal training to girls/boys who want to take their game to the next level.   Kristie is currently a Human Resources Manager at Google and is the proud mother of Kaliya (11), Kairee (8), Kassai (6mo) and wife of Kiko Griffin.



Talaya Anderson
Athletic Director/8th Grade Girls Coach


Talaya Anderson is the Valley Christian's current 8th grade basketball team's head coach, has lead the Warriors to several championship titles: 2004 Top O' Mountain Tournament, 2005 BACSAL League Champions, 2005 Mayor's Cup, 2005 Sacred Heart Tournament, 2007 Kings Academy Tournament and 2007 SCCESJHCA League Champions. Other than coaching Valley Christian 8th graders for the last six years she has coached the high school girls as well she has helped with Oak Grove's Pop Warner Cheer-leading and Football. She is currently the President of Coyote Creek's NJB Program and the Head Coach for the 7th grade All-Net Girl's Team.

Tracy Gibson
Director of Player Development/8th Grade Girls Coach


Tracy Gipson was a 5'10" guard and four-year starter at Valparaiso University, he was one of the most productive players to wear a Crusader uniform, ranking among the top 10 in seven statistical categories. Coach Tracy averaged 21.3 points and became the school's all-time leading scorer with 1,785 points. He earned First Team All-Mid-Continent Conference honors in 1993 after being named Second Team All-Mid-Con as a sophomore and junior. As a freshman, Tracy was selected to the Mid-Con All-Newcomer Team. Entering the 2001-02 season, he ranked 9th on the Mid-Con's all-time scoring list. One of the all-time leaders in field goal attempts (1,570), he stands third all-time in Mid-Con history. Coach Gipson also ranks among the conference's all-time leaders in minutes played (4th, 3,793), games started (9th, 101) and field goals made (10th, 682).
